Obituary for James Edward Taylor

James E. Taylor, Sr. born, June 16, 1937 went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2017. James was born in Queens, New York to the union of James E. Taylor and Charlotte Allen Taylor. James lived a rich and fulfilling life where he served our country and retired from the United States Navy. Holding to the Armed Forces motto James continued to honor, protect and serve by working for the New York Police Department, Old Dominion University and E.V.M.S.
James was a man of integrity with his steps ordered by The Lord. He was a member of Mount Lebanon, A Global Christian Fellowship (The Mount) in Chesapeake, Virginia.
“Now behold, I have made you today as a fortified city and as a pillar of iron and as walls of bronze against the whole land, to the kings of Judah, to its princes, to its priests and to the people of the land. They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD. – Jeremiah 1:18-19
Left to cherish his memory are James E. Taylor, Jr., Kenneth S. Taylor, Lawrence A Taylor and Chad Gaston. Continuing to uphold his memories of love are grandchildren; Farqu Taylor, Alliyah Beckwith-Gaston and Nasysia Taylor as well as a host of family and friends.
A Memorial Life Celebration commemorating James’s life will be Monday, March 27, 2016 at 3:30pm at The Mount, 884 Bells Mill Road, Chesapeake, Virginia 23322.
