A cheerful voice and beautiful smile was suddenly silenced. On July 20, 2017 God called home; Darryl Emil Anderson Jr.
Darryl was born on Friday, November 13, 1981 to Darryl E. Anderson, Sr. and Valerie Anderson, in Santa Ana, California.
Darryl, affectionately known as “Bay Boi”, was such a funny and rambunctious little boy. As a youth he attended and was a member of Gideon’s Riverside Baptist Fellowship. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Norfolk, Virginia.
Darryl attended Norfolk Public Schools. He later attended Advanced Technology Institute (ATI) where he obtained a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). His latest employment was with NFI Transportation, where he was an outstanding employee.
Darryl had a great love for music and he was a sports guru. His favorite football team was the Washington Redskins. Darryl was loved very much by his family and he loved his family dearly. Everyone who met him loved his warm, humble spirit.
Darryl will be forever remembered by his wife; Katwanna Anderson, his son; Darius Anderson, his daughter; Kellis Anderson and his step-daughter Ziyah Clark. His father; Darryl E. Anderson, Sr. and mother; Valerie Anderson and step-father Mitchell Johnson. Mother-in-Law; Chwanda Clark, paternal grandmother; Odessa Anderson, and maternal grandmother; Edvena Carter, and grandmother-in-law; Lois Thorogood. Five sisters; Tenesia Silver (Johnny) of North Carolina, LaTasha Anderson, Tyra Anderson, Tamara Anderson of Kansas and Jada Anderson of California. Sister-in-Law; Chnika Clark and Brother-in-Law; Cedrick Clark. Five nephews; Keion, Jordin, DJ, Jayedin, and Justice. Darryl will also be lovingly remembered by a host of other relatives and friends.
