Condolence: I have many memories of fun and laughter where Aunt Jerry was the center. Each time I hear "We Are Family" I smile at her stage worthy performance at our family reunion.
Aunt Jerry also took pride in her culinary innovations to 'Down Home Cooking'. I recall being outside with her frying Spots in the backyard on one of her California visits. She was frying them 'bottoms up" in the deep fryer, standing them up like soldiers in the pan as they came out. She said to me,"I want you to try the hot sauce i made, it's delicious." And with that Jerry Mae smile she went on "It's so good, that if the fish knew they were going to be eaten with my sauce, they would have been jumping in the net!" That's how i will remember my Aunt Jerry. Doing what she loved for famikly and friends. Loving life, laugh and of course her smile.
Jackie, LOVE & HONOR are words we know and understand, but they are too small to describe DEDICATION you showed your Mom. As you said to me, she knew she was surrounded by love. You and her Virginia Family saw to that.
May her love for you bring comfort in your many memories.
