Life Reflections

I can now rest in peace as I never could before. I answered the gentle knock of the Angels at my door.

Maurice Norman Collick 69 of Norfolk, Virginia departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017. Maurice was born May 25, 1948 to the late Maurice Emanuel Collick and Cleola Lucas Collick and was predeceased by his eldest brother George Collick.

He received his education in Norfolk Public Schools. He was a graduate of Booker T. Washington high School. After graduating from High School he joined the United States Marine Corps where he honorably served in Vietnam.

Maurice started his life early as a leader. He was the pack leader of Boys Scouts Troop 711, Assistance Sunday School Superintendent at Metropolitan AME Zion Church, Rev. Council pastor and was a platoon Leader (CPL) US Marine Corps. He was later employed by Navy Public Works Center at the Norfolk Naval Base. Maurice was lively, outgoing, loved his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife , Theresa Collick, daughters : Sajada Ebron and Tareja Sanderlin, Stepsons: Montrell Ebron and Delton Raynor Stepdaughters: Denita Raynor and Sheritta Tavers, Siblings Rachel Jordan of Atlanta, GA, Rubin Collick ,Sarah Collick Warren and Brittney McCree (Jaron) of Norfolk, Grandchildren ,Great Grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to a friend that was like a brother David Mcgilberry who was always there to play a game of Dominos.
