Eileen Burrus-Lamb was called home on January 9, 2018 in Virginia Beach, VA due to complications following lung cancer. She was 57.

Eileen Burrus-Lamb was born on November 23, 1960 in Norfolk, VA to her parents, Frank and Vernell Isaac Burrus. She graduated from Norview High School in 1978 and went on to obtain her Associates in Business Administration. Eileen used her education to create a name for herself in the corporate world taking on challenging positions with several financial institutions in Hampton Roads. She was revered by family and friends for her strong work ethic and ability to assist anyone in need in addition to facilitating social gatherings in which everyone was always welcome and appreciated. She retired in the middle of 2016 and dedicated her remaining time to caring for her grandchildren and keeping the family strong, as well as leading prayer circles and volunteering at her local church.

Eileen was a free spirit whose favorite hobbies were connected with nature; her favorite past-times were: fishing, crabbing, dancing, and spending quality time with her family. She would often cook and usher for her local church, while attending bible study every chance she got. Inspiring others was her life-long goal.

Eileen is survived by her 3 daughters, Shanae Burrus age 26; Tyeisha Burrus age 24; Shania Burrus age 17; and two grandchildren Khalil and Khamari Pennymon aged 7&6.

Eileen will be buried at Carver Memorial Cemetery located at 2320 E Washington St, Suffolk, VA 23434, a private ceremony on January 16, 2018. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Eileen's life.
