On January 16, 2018 Annette Langston Sumler heard the words of her Lord and Savior, Well done thy good and faithful servant, enter in and take your rest.
Annette’s earthly journey began in Nansemond County, Virginia May 4, 1951 to the proud parents of Corine Richardson Langston and McCoy Langston.
Annette was a woman for all seasons who had a gifting to help as to why being called to employment as a Licensed Practical Nurse came as no surprise.
All that knew Annette knew she LOVED to shop!!! She was stylish, up on the latest fashion and believed in bling. Her smile, attractive personality, and love for family and friends will truly never be forgotten.
When one looks back over Annette’s life, it may seem that her time was all to short, yet she lived her life to the fullest and ensured she made the most of every moment.
Annette was preceded in death by her parents.
Annette leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of over forty years, Larry D. Sumler; two sons, Desmond and Darnell Sumler; one brother,Johnnie Langston (Jackie); three sisters, Shirley Hicks (Whitman), Doris Cheeks, and Terry Langston; one aunt, Laura Rodgers as well as a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, extended family and friends.
Proverbs 31:30-31 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
