Christopher John Chappelle was born on February 24, 1990 to Andrea LaVonne Chappelle and the late Charles Allen Chappelle, Sr. in Chesapeake, VA. Chris graduated from Great Bridge High School and attended Old Dominion University. Chris went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 2, 2018.

Chris had a wonderful sense of humor and was always smiling and laughing. It was impossible not to like Chris. He enjoyed working on computers and was an avid sports fan.

Chris was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and uncle. Chris will be missed by his brother, Charles Allen Chappelle, Jr., his sisters, Amanda N. Chappelle, Cheryl Fortineau, and Calandra Chappelle. Chris will also be missed by his nieces, Brittany Lewis and Mary Mattocks, and his nephews, Arthur Fortineau, Jr., Carter Chappelle and Elijah Chappelle; his grandmother, Amanda Gatlin Stewart, his aunts, Donna Gatlin-Mteeka, Gay Brown (James), Nina Chappelle, Doris M. Davis (James), Mabel Smith, Mary R. Davis (Robert) and his uncles Dorsey D. Chappelle, Jr. (Ella), and John L. Chappell, Anthony Gatlin, Phillip Gatlin, George Gatlin and Michael Stewart and a host of family and friends.

To celebrate Chris’s life, we will have a Home Going Service at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, 884 Bells Mills Road, Chesapeake, VA 23322 on Friday, February 16, 2018 at 11:00 am.

Chris will be laid to rest at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Road, Chesapeake, VA 23320 (757) 543-2088.

The Repast will be held at Mt. Lebanon.
