On Monday, October 28, 2019, Bessie Lee Blue Jackson the daughter of the late Daniel L. Blue and the late Laura Pollard Blue at the age of eighty-three transitioned from labor to reward joining the Heavenly Hosts after she answered The Master’s Call.
Bessie was born in Rocky Mount in Edgecombe County North Carolina on May 20, 1936. Bessie and her family moved to Virginia where she made Norfolk her home.
Bessie was a loving mother, grandmother and great- grandmother. She had a smile that could light up a room and she showed compassion to all who came into her presence. She was willing to extend love to anyone she met to ensure you knew you were important and she cared.
Bessie worked at the General Foam Plant in Norfolk, Virginia for several years before moving on to the Southland Industries, Inc. in Chesapeake, Virginia where she retired.
Although her time may seem much too brief; Bessie’s purpose on this journey called life has been fulfilled. Her life legacy will continue in all that knew her.
Bessie leaves to cherish her memories her brother, John D. Blue of South Carolina; her sister, Rosa Blue of Virginia Beach, Virginia; daughter, Sherry L. Cuffee of Norfolk, Virginia; two sons, Mark D. Jackson of Virginia Beach, Virginia and Ronald W. Blue of Apollo Beach, Florida.
Bessie lived a very fulfilling and successful life and was blessed with many friends and loved ones.
