Patricia Darlene Walton Black was born on May 15, 1956 in Portsmouth, Virginia. She grew up in the Douglass Park and Cavalier Manor Section of Portsmouth. She attended Portsmouth Public Schools and graduated with the Manor High School Class of 1974. Patricia received a Bachelors of Social Science Degree from Norfolk State University.
Patricia was an industrious person and a civil minded individual. She loved God and people; this was a theme that was demonstrated throughout her life.


Patricia was employed by DDNV from 1983 until her passing. She loved her co-workers and her place of employment.

Patricia was a special individual. Patricia was an individual who’s very presence made you a better person.
Patricia was the middle child of the union of Johnnie and Easter Mae Walton.

Patricia leaves to cherish her memories her husband Roderick Black; two sons, Roderick Black, Jr. and Samuel Black; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, co-workers and many a smiling heart she met along this life’s journey.
