Joeann Sills was born September 3, 1953 in Little Washington, North Carolina. Joeann was born to the union of Lawrence and Estelle Langley.

On the evening of Thursday, May 10, 2018 Joeann transitioned from labor to reward at Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.


Joeann worked at the Norfolk Airport Hilton for 22 years. Her hobbies included sewing, crocheting, selling Tupperware, Mary Kay, and Avon. She also loved to play bingo.

She was predeceased by her fathe r Lawrence Langley; mother, Estelle Langley, and brother, Clifton Langley.

Left to cherish her husband, Ronald Sills; daughters, Karen Dismuke, Sherra Sills and Katrina Sills; seven grandchildren, Kenyon Vinson, Andre Barnes II, Andre Barnes III, Andre Larenz Barnes, Nanita McCoy, Sienna Dismuke, and Hazel Johnson; two great-grandchildren, Armani Barnes and Lori Vinson; brothers, Harold Langley, Leon Langley, and David Langley; one sister, Minnie Langley, as well an aunt, niece, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
