Obituary for Barbara Lene Edmonds (Scott)

Our beloved Barbara Lene Edmonds went from labor to reward, May 11, 2018.
Barbara was born on July 27, 1939 in Rolfe, West Virginia in McDowell County to her parents, Harry A. Scott and Etheleen Rumbly Scott. Growing up she was a member of Rolfe Uprising Church.
Barbara was a graduate of Elkhorn High School Class of 1958. Shortly thereafter, she married to her high school sweetheart Archie L. Edmonds. This union spanned over thirty years.
Taking pride in the care of others, Barbara worked as a home aid; assisting others in their day to day lives. She enjoyed giving her time to the Little Creek Bargain Shop, where she attended weekly for over twenty-five years. When she wasn’t volunteering in her free time she enjoyed watching soap operas, sewing, cooking, gardening and spending time with her two children. Also, she loved supporting her granddaughter in plays and school events.
Barbara was predeceased by bother her parents; step-father, Erwin Pinkney; brother, Jerry Scott; two sisters, Rosa Mae Scott and Minnie Victoria Smith; nephew, Joseph Clark, Sr.; niece, Candance Clark and cousin, McKinley Scott.
She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Barbara L. Edmonds; son, David R. Edmonds; granddaughter, Kanya L. Edmonds; brother, Dr. Harry Scott, Sr.; nieces, Alicia Smith and Jarneen Skinner – Hale (Michael); nephews, Alvon Smith, Jr. (Vickey), Victor Smith (Kyla), Timothy Clark and Jerry Clark (Savon); cousins, Harold Scott (Vondalere) and Judy Scott as well as a host of additional family members and friends.
