Obituary for Glynn Albert "'Yo'" Howard
On Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at the age of 63, Glynn Albert Howard transitioned from labor to reward. He was born in Hampton, Virginia on December 14, 1956 to the late Willard O. Howard and Jane G. Howard.
As a child, Glynn attended First Baptist Church Lamberts Point in Norfolk, Virginia with his parents and siblings. As an adult, Glynn attended The Historic Queen Street Baptist Church of Norfolk, Virginia.
Glynn attended Norfolk Public Schools for his elementary and high school education. He graduated in 1975 then furthered his education in studying Industrial Arts Education at Norfolk State University from 1975-1978.
A few years after graduation from Norfolk State University, Glynn began working for the Naval Supply Systems Command/Navy Exchange Service from 1983-2015.
In addition to his parents, Glynn was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Howard.
Glynn leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jessica Jane Marie Howard; a sister, Michelle Poole; two nieces, Teneshia Kwade and Megan Howard; one nephew, Christian Poole; sisters-in-law, Dr. Angelina Hopkins (Dr. Johnie) and Cynthia Howard; ex-wife and close friend, Sylvia S. Howard.
