Obituary for Edith Corine Walls (Davis)

Edith Corine Walls, 87, transitioned from labor to reward Monday, April 8, 2019 in the comfort of her peaceful home. Edith was a loving, family - oriented woman who was very organized. She allowed love to lead her and nurture her family. She retired from Department of Motor Vehicles where she had an impeccable work ethic and was willing to help all who needed her assistance.

Edith was a member of Second Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia and was a faithful tither until her health began to decline. She loved The Lord and valued her personal relationship with Jesus being her Savior. She served faithfully on the Usher Board until it became too strenuous to maneuver with her walker.

Edith had numerous hobbies yet she was an avid Bingo player. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting with family and friends and for the last two years spending time with her daughter in the hair salon .

Edith formerly of 207 East 37th Street, Richmond Virginia journeyed to Norfolk, Virginia to spend the latter years of her life. Many a memory shall live on through all that knew her in Richmond and Norfolk.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Walls.

Edith leaves to cherish her memory her one and only child, her beautiful and devoted daughter, Edith Wood – Young; her only grandchild, her loving granddaughter, Shaqueeta Johnson; four inspiring great grandchildren, Donnell, Demarco, Chyna and Perzia; two nieces Joyce and Sharonl; two nephews Paul and Eric; a faithful friend, Puffy; two cousins, Theron and Sagatha; two special care givers, Wanda and Cyn, as well as a special friend of the family who encouraged her life, Cofield.

A very special Thank You to Jequil Jackson.
