Mr. Anthony Leon Melvin was born on June 24, 1968 as the forth born child to the late Yvonne and Charles Melvin. Anthony was known as Leon to family and friends.
Leon attended Norfolk Public Schools. With an interest in cars, he pursued a career as a Professional Car Detailer at Funderburk Auto Wholesalers.
On Friday September 7, 2018 Leon was called home. He transitioned from Labor to Reward where he joined the Precious Flower Garden of our Heavenly Father’s Kingdom. There he will always watch over all his love ones he left behind. The Garden we know is beautiful for both his mother, Yvonne and father, Charles Melvin as well as his loving brother, Gilbert Melvin preceded him and met him as he entered into The Garden.
Leon leaves to cherish his loving memories his beatiful daughter, Melissa Mitchell; his cherished granddaughter, Nevaeh Mitchell; two dedicated brothers, Antoine Hudgins (Hope) and Charles Melvin (Nikki); two devoted sisters, Ronnita Melvin and Mecca Melvin; along with his daughter’s mother and best friend, Beverly Mitchell and a host of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends.
