Mildred Sanderlin Harrell, 85, was born in Norfolk, Virginia March 8, 1933 to the late Mr. Aces and late Mrs. Adell Sanderlin. Her journey of life earth transitioned to be with her heavenly father, Thursday, November 1, 2018.
Mildred devoted her life to helping family and friends. She previously worked for the Norfolk Public School System and Leigh Hall. She loved to travel, go to the movies, do crossword puzzles, eat at local restaurants, go on shopping sprees and spend time with her family and grandchildren.
Holding her memory in high esteem are her beloved three children, Eugene Harrell (Helen), Wanda H. Blanding (Rudolph) and Freda H. Bryant; her seven cherished grandchildren, Vicki Freeman, Cindy Freeman, Donna Tomlinson (Ron), Karim Harrell, Joy Lambert (Dewayne), Thomas Bryant, III (Rena), Rudolph Blanding (Angela); her seven loving great – grandchildren, Destinee Harrell, Jaden Brown, Raven Tomlinson, Jalil Harrell, Ryan Tomlinson, Dewayne Lambert, Jr. and Rudolph Blanding, Jr.; nieces, Ophelia Leigh-Wright, Michelle Murphy, and Jackie Rivers; nephews, James Duggins and Stuart Brown as as a close family friend, James Freeman.
