Gwendolyn Celestine Perkins, went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2019. She was born on Thursday, October 17, 1968 in New York, New York. She was the youngest child of the late Earnell and the late Helen Perkins.

Ms. Perkins moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1978. While living in Norfolk, she attended Norfolk Public School and graduated from Lake Taylor High School in 1987. After graduated from Lake Taylor High School, she attended Norfolk State University.

Ms. Perkins will be remembered as a devoted and a loving mother to her two children.

She will leave her cherished memory with her daughter, Sharon D. Perkins, son, Nicholas Y. Perkins, three sisters, Karita M. Robinson and her husband Larry Robinson, Ernestine Perkins, Willa Phillips and her husband Alan Phillips, and one brother, James Perkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
