SHIRLEY G. BROWN
September 18, 1923 – February 27, 2019
Shirley was born in the Berkley Section of Norfolk VA, and graduated from Booker T Washington High School in 1940. She resided at Lake Prince Woods in Suffolk VA with her husband John W Brown until his death in August 2006. Prior to his death, Shirley and her husband were worldwide travelers. She enjoyed many friends at Lake Prince and was loved and well known by the staff.
She worked at the Norfolk Navy Yard and Norfolk Naval Base until she retired. She is survived by son Cecil H Trower and spouse Claudia, grandsons Hans J Trower and spouse Cheryce, and Markus C Trower, great grandson Isaiah D Trower and her best friend Mrs. Dorothy Hackett.
