OBITUARY
Ellis Watson was granted his angel wings on April 23rd 2019. He was born on September 1st, 1950 to the late Leon Watson and Ruby Lee Watson. He is preceded in death by his brother Carl Watson (Shirley Watson) and sister, Evelyn Edler.
His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Ellis had touched in some small way throughout his memorable life.
Ellis life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His gentle smile and laid back demeanor brought so much joy to family and friends.
He was a member of “Church Of The Living God” under the leadership of Pastor Sarah Williams where he attended regularly until his sickness prohibited his attendance.
Ellis graduated from Crestwood High School (1969) and joined the Unites States Coast Guard shortly after graduation. He retired from Norfolk Base with over 30 years of service.
Ellis leaves to cherish his memories his son Jeremy Watson (Chesapeake); brother Eldret Watson (Chesapeake) and sisters Corine Moore and Cynthia Edler (Leonard Edler), of Chesapeake; and a host of family and friends.
