Mrs. Geraldine Surratt-Jones-Gibson (88), was born May 2, 1931 to the late Willie Mae (Retha) Crockett and John Wheeler Surratt. She was born in Cherryville, North Carolina and later moved to Buffalo New York. Jerry as she was fondly referred to as, was a devoted Christian and was known for always praising God in every situation and no matter what the circumstance. She was employed at Sisters of Charity Hospital as a Presser in the Laundry Department, where she eventually retired from after 20 years.
