Lenny was born in the Bronx NY on February 16, 1951 and sadly departed this life on October 22, 2019 after a sudden illness that resulted from falling. Lenny worked for Burns International Security in New York City for 20 years until he retired and moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia with his brother, Calvin and his family.
His diagnosis of diabetes caused Lenny to become an amputee, and totally lose his sight but it didn't stop him from getting his exercise in three times a day; everyday. He enjoyed listening to music, and could be heard at times singing along with the hits from the 60's, 70s, and 80s. Lenny was known for his quick wit when it came to remembering the names and birthdates of everyone he knew. If you shared that information with him, it stayed etched in his mind forever. It was amazing how he was able to recall the birthdates, as well as the dates actors and actresses had passed away. He was a definite movie and TV buff that loved everything about the art of acting. During his younger years, Lenny loved playing sports, and claimed to be a pretty good athlete who played baseball and basketball with his neighborhood friends. Although they were his favorite sport to play during his youth, you could always find him catching up on every sport on ESPN. He especially loved listening to football on his TV and was a dedicated NY Giants fan.
Lenny loved everyone, and always had conversation for anyone with a listening ear.
