The United States Air Force made it possible to have their four children travel with them, and Della often said how lucky she and her family was for all of the blessings God gave them.
Della graduated from Beach High School in Savannah, GA, and was active at First Calvary Baptist Church as a member of usher board #3 where she served for 33 years. She loved travelling on cruises, taking bus trips to the casino, watching CNN and tennis, and making puzzles.
Her memory will be cherished by her husband, Earnest “ Bubba” Green, children Phyllis Bellamy of Fort Washington, MD and Abhi Ahmadadeen of Chesapeake, VA, aunt Laura Walker of Savannah, GA, grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
