My heart goes out to my good friend, Sherri Payton, on the loss of her beloved husband, Kenneth. I didn't know Ken very well, but from what I could view of their relationship, Kenneth was a partner in every sense of the word. I want to thank you, Ken, for your support of your wife and of me in our real estate endeavors--especially helping to set up our classes so that we could educate as many people as possible about home ownership. Rest in Peace. I am praying for you, Sherri, and your family and stand ready to support you during this difficult time. We pray God will wrap His loving arms around you and give you His peace.

La'Ura, Daniel, Tony, and Family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of Kenneth Jr. Although it is difficult today to see beyond sorrow. May looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow. I will be keeping the Payton and Davis Family in my thoughts and prayers. It is my prayer that God will continue to watch over you, comfort you, and provide you with that peace that surpasses all understanding.

Patton Family,

Please accept my condolences in regard to the death of Ken. Ken and I spent a few years break-dancing and pop locking and/or ticking as some call it, as we competed against several dance groups back in the 80s and I still have my break dancing trophy to prove it. Subsequently, we lived in Warwick Lawns, better known as the 'Lawns', which is one of the first Afro-American subdivisions on the Peninsula.

The Patton family contributed to a part of my childhood, for Kenneth Sr worked in aviation and Rev/Mrs. Patton served the Lord along with Liura, Ken, to include Daniel, for we lived on the same street.

May your friends and family be a source of comfort in the days, weeks, months and years to come. Revelation 21:3,4 has been comforting to many, and it is my wish that it prove true for the Patton family, for it says and I quote, " "With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”"

Sincerely,

Earnie Wilkerson
