Surrounded by his devoted parents on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, after a 15 year battle with Multiple Myeloma; our God with His infinite wisdom reached into our midst and called our beloved George “Jerome” Spicer to eternal rest in His Heavenly Kingdom.

He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on July 27, 1964, to Rev. Dr. George H. and Mrs. Gloria H. Spicer. At an early age, Jerome accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He moved to Chesapeake, Virginia where he graduated from Western Branch High School. Jerome attended Norfolk State University. He also attended Tidewater Vocational Technical School and received a certificate for A/C, Heating and Refrigeration Technician. He was employed at NAVFAC MIDLANT Norfolk, as a Boiler Plant Operator. Due to his illness, he retired on medical disability on January 7, 2009 with 21 years of government service.

Jerome was a sports enthusiast and a dedicated Redskin Fan. He a was very friendly person who was loved by many. Whenever you saw him, he had a smile for you.

In addition to his parents, he leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Marilyn K. Spicer; two daughters, Arnae Symone and Makia Michele, and one grandson Makhi Lovelle of Suffolk, VA, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
