Obituary for James Howard Bolton
Mr. James Bolton, age 86, passed away at his home in Virginia Beach, VA, on May 2, 2020.
Born October 14, 1933, in Pecos TX, to his parents Garfield and Ida Mae Bolton. He graduated from Palm Springs high school in 1953 located in Palm Springs, CA. After, high school he attended Orange Coast Junior College for two years where he earned an Associate’s Degree in General Studies. He was a renowned musician who had the opportunity to work with some of the biggest acts of the 1960’s such as B.B King, Ike and Tina Turner and James Brown to name of few. He obeyed the gospel of Jesus Christ 2016 in Newport News, VA and later placed membership at the Inner City church of Christ.
He leaves behind his loving wife Pauline Bolton; Sons, James II( Brittany) James III “J.J.”; (Shanta); Daughters, Chantay Robinson (Henry), Stepchildren Kai Huntley (Todd Sr.), Renee Bright (Dennis), Terry Smith (Sepia), Bryan(Jennifer), Herbert Smith, Jr. (Angela) and Koquise White; Siblings; Terri Bolton (deceased) and Myrtle V. Williams; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
