Obituary for Patrick Darryl Evans

Patrick D. Evans closed his eyes and entered eternal life on June 9th 2020 at the young age of 54 years old. Patrick Darryl Evans was born on July 7, 1965 to Audrey T. Bates and Jimmy Evans in Baltimore, Maryland. Raised by his stepfather Howard Bates, Jr (Daddy Bates).

Pat attended school at #102 Elementary and Junior High, Lake Clifford Senior High School and St Francis High School. He was excellent at sports such as baseball, basketball, roller-skating and swimming. He loved to jump off the diving board and do somersaults. When he was young he would draw on his mother's hardwood floors..... drawing highways traveling the world. Because of his love of trucks he wanted to be a truck driver. He LOVED making others laugh and he would even go around imitating his parents. Pat was an altar boy at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. In his late teens he worked at KFC, and had a paperboy route with his brother Tony. Later on in life, he worked at Comfort Inn as head of security then management. Pat was hard working, the type of person that would do any job that was needed of him from maintenance to housekeeping. He might as well had his own car detailing business.

Patrick will be remembered by his infectious smile that earned him the nickname "SMILEY" also was known as "PAC-MAN". He will also be remembered for his kind, caring and giving heart, he will give you his last. Pat made you feel welcomed, safe and protected. He had book and street smarts and could make the best out of anything even during hard times. He was truly a SURVIVOR and well known. Pat loved life and people and was never afraid.
He was very big on trust and order and being clean. If you ever went to his residence you would smell the famous Lysol. If you would go around someone else after coming from his place and by the scent on you, they would know where you had been previously. Patrick will definitely be remembered by his charm and when his mother was sick he borrowed a friends van, just so he could sit with her. He loved the Ravens, Buffalo Bulls, Orioles and Maryland Terrapins.
