Lizzie Boyd was born June 25, 1922 to the now late Sandy and Alice Anderson in Jackson, North Carolina.
On Sunday, August 2, 2020, Mrs. Lizzie transitioned from labor to reward at Signature Nursing Home in Norfolk, Virginia.
Mrs. Lizzie was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved to cook and decorate. She was a member of Faith Temple Church in Norfolk, Virginia. While there, she was a choir member and a Mother of the Church.
Early in life she married Baby Jones and Charlie Boyd, who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was her daughter, Alice Jones Wesley and ten grandchildren.
Mrs. Lizzie leaves to cherish her memory, three daughters and two sons; Marie J. Britt, Charlie Boyd, Jr. (Mary), Shirley B. Joyner (Joe) of Jackson North Carolina; David L. Boyd of Suffolk, Virginia and Betty B. Bacchaus of Jacksonville, Florida; twenty three great grandchildren; a niece, Clara Wilson of Seaboard, North Carolina and one nephew, William Turner of jersey City, New Jersey.
