Obituary for Patricia Evette Knight (Manley)
Patricia Manley Knight, 79, of Norfolk, Va, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, September 15, 2020. Cherished mother, aunt, god-mother, friend, and colleague, Patricia Knight will be remembered for her kindness, devotion to her family, and her famous cakes.
She was born to the late Marvin E. Manley Sr., and Theodocia Belle Manley on October 31, 1940. Patricia was predeceased by her brother Marvin E. Manley Jr. of Norfolk, Va.
She attended and graduated from Booker T. Washington Highschool, and then went on to graduate from Norfolk State University with a BS in nursing in 1991. Beginning as a licensed practical nurse and finishing as a registered nurse, she worked at the VA Hospital in Hampton, Va until her retirement in 2002, having worked there for over 20 years.
Patricia was a member of Greater Metropolitan A.M.E Zion Church, serving under the stewardess board, outreach ministry, culinary arts, and the health and nurse ministry.
She leaves to mourn her loss, a beloved son, Larrod "Ricky" Wilson; nieces, Pamela W. Davis and Karen Manley; nephews, Jeffrey Manley, Bruce Manley, Brian Manley, and Barry Manley. A host of great nieces and nephews, great great nieces and nephews, a god daughter, Venus Townsend-Jones and close friends.
