She was a Meritorious Mother of Good News Family Worship Center under Levi Willis II. Mother Byrd was also a Mother of Jesus Christ House of Worship under Pastor Margaret Jones, Pastor Ruth Flemming and Pastor Pearly Smallwood. She was a prayer warrior with healing hands. She was baptized in Jesus name and fire baptized with the holy ghost. Mother Byrd loved the Lord with all her heart and she followed the precepts and commandments of God with passion. The Lord granted His promise of long life because she lived to be 96 years old. She was a mighty prayer warrior and could get her prayers to reach heaven for many of her family, her church family and friends. One of her favorite songs was, “Something inside of me telling me to go ahead.”
