Obituary

Kendrick William Rodgers, 32 of the 800 block of Drawbridge Drive, departed this life on Thursday,
December 17, 2020, at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center surrounded by his family. Born February 5,
1988 at Sentara General Hospital in Norfolk, VA to William E. Rodgers and Kimberly D. Rodgers of
Chesapeake, VA. He attended Tidewater Adventist Academy, Deep Creek High School and received his Graduate Equivalency Degree in 2009. He graduated from Tidewater Community College receiving his Associates of Science Degree in Business Administration in 2017. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Kendrick leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted parents William and Kimberly Rodgers, grandfather, Fred Norman; his sisters, Kenya Corprew, Roshelle (Tershane) Place; his brother, Cortez Norman; his nieces, Keandra Norman, Ke'Shawnta Norman, Keyona Johnson; his nephew, Keonte Barnes; his great niece, Azari Norman; other relatives and many friends.

To the family, only recently did I get to meet your son. He brought a co-worker to my house to do some work. Immediately his warm spirit, shy smile and seriousness about his work, let me know that he was someone that I could trust to get the job done, Even when we had a few complications with the job, he remained steadfast, in assuring me that all would b well. The week of his passing, I had just talked to him on Monday, and he shared some personal tidbits about himself. We laughed and talked and ended by saying that he would see me soon. Needless to say, I was shocked by his sudden passing. I just wanted to let you know , that although my interaction with him, was brief, he will be missed by his customers too.

Words are not enough. We will never know the deepness of your pain. I stand with you as Family, moreover as church family because The Rodgers Family has been there for everyone. Kendrick will definitely be missed, but he was aware that he was loved and appreciated by all he came in contact with. Praying and asking for Holy Spirit Comfort as we walk this journey with you.

I am so sorry about Kendrick. He was a nice young man and has been to my house many times. He would help me do little things in my house and yard. I love his parents, Kim and William Rodgers. It was a real shock when his mother came by and told me yesterday. I will miss him so much. He was a good decorator and always decorated their big Christmas tree and house so pretty at Christmas. I feel like he will spend the merriest best Christmas with his God and Jesus. I am sending condolences to his family. Earth holds no sorrows heaven cannot heal.
