Obituary for Clarence Head

To God be the glory for all he has done. With a sad heart we release our loved one into the arms of our Heavenly Father.

Clarence Head went home to eternal rest on Wednesday, January 6, 2021. He was born in Valdosta, GA. on October 30, 1938 to the late Aubra Head & Rosa Head Morrison. When Clarence's father passed away, his Stepfather, the late Jim Morrison helped to rear him to adulthood. He left Valdosta and relocated to Norfolk, VA. where he worked as a carpenter for many years. Later he became employed with Yellow Freight Trucking Company for 26 years until he retired.

Clarence was a member of Greater Mount Zion Baptist Church for 20 plus years. Clarence read the daily bread along with a scripture every day and he missed going to church on a regular basis due to the pandemic. He was also a member of The Chesapeake Silver Strands Organization in which he Took pride in. He also enjoyed delivering Meals on Wheels.

Clarence was the youngest brother of 10 brothers who along with his parents all preceded him in death.

Clarence loved his wife, children, grands, and great grands dearly. One of his last statements in the days prior to his death was, "I really LOVE my family."

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife of 41 years, Geraldine R. Head, 2 daughters, Debra E. Head of Moyock NC, and Shielah A. Boatwright of Virginia Beach, VA. 3 sons, Horace Richardson(Katherine) of Ahoskie NC, Gerald S. Anthony Sr. (Dionne) of Norfolk, VA, and Lanorris Anthony Sr. (Celeste) of Portsmouth VA. 11 Grandchildren: Tamara Woodbury(Robert),Candace Head, Tracy Boatwright, Stacy Boatwright, Michelle Smalls (Jason), Crystal Reynolds, Davonte Hernandez, Gerald S. Anthony Jr., Lanorris Anthony Jr., Christina Anthony, and Alice Cuffee. 8 Great grands and 4 special children, Antonio & Sylvia Cuffee and Ray & Valzena Jenkins. 10 sisters -in-laws, 7 brothers-in law along with a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
