Obituary for Nanette Denise Smith - Parker (Smith)
Nanette Denise Smith - Parker answered the call of her Heavenly Father on January 9, 2021 in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital. Nanette was born in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Ralph and Juanita Fitzgerald Smith February 16, 1967.
After graduating from High School Nanette attended Virginia Wesleyan University where she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Development.
Nanette had a heart to serve. She loved to build our youth to help our future shine brighter. Over her work career she worked at Lake Taylor Hospital as an Aide, Hope House as a Special Needs Aide and in the Norfolk Public School System as a Teacher.
Nanette leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Milton; sons, Antoine and Marquis; grandson, Ty’Quan; granddaughter, T’Nyiah as well as a host of extended family and numerous friends.
“I shall pass this way but once; any good that I can do or any kindness I can show to any human being; let me do it now. Let me not defer nor neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.” ― Etienne de Grellet
