Obituary for Larry Eugene Wyche

On January 30th, 2021, the Our Lord and Savior called our dear loved one Larry Eugene Wyche home for an eternity of rest.

Larry was the oldest of four siblings: Keith, Lamont, and Keisha Wyche. Larry was born on January 2, 1966, to the parents of Herbert and Brenda Wyche, all natives of Norfolk, Virginia.

He was predeceased by grandparents; Edward Sir-n-Georgia Wyche and James and Nancy Jackson.

Larry was a student athlete at Granby High School. There, Larry was an outstanding football player throughout his Senior year of High School.

After graduating from Granby High School, Larry began employment with Norfolk Redevelopment Housing Authority. He later became a Gas Free Technician with Colonna Shipyard of Norfolk, Virginia.

Larry was a fun-loving man who had a smile that brightened up the entire room. Larry had a swag that was smooth-n-suave. He loved to dress with the finest attire, cologne, jewelry, and shoes.

Larry loved his mother Brenda. He would call her several times a day just to talk. Larry was truly a “Momma’s Boy.”

He loved hanging out with his brothers Hawk-n-Moose. They would listen to music, joke around, and play cards. Larry also enjoyed chilling with his baby sis Keisha and nieces, Shaniyah and Corri W. Wyche. They would joke, dance, and take pictures.

Most of all, Larry loved his fiancée Meda Powell, who was the love of his life for 8 years. They shared two daughters together: Wyleria and DeKera Powell, all of Chesapeake, Virginia.
Larry proposed to Meda Powell on Christmas Day 2020. They both were looking forward to spending the rest of their lives together.

Larry leaves to cherish his memory two loving parents, Brenda Delois Wyche, and Herbert Bernard Wyche, two brothers, Keith B. Wyche, and Lamont A. Wyche, and one sister, Keisha D. Wyche. Seven nieces, two nephews, four great nieces-n-nephews, two special nieces, Shaniyah M. Wyche and Corri A. Wyche, all natives of Norfolk, Virginia.

Larry also leaves to cherish his memory his loving fiancée Meda Powell, two wonderful daughters Wyleria and DeKera Powell, and a loving Mother-n-law Diane Williams.
Many special friends; Smiley, Cooley, Clayton Morquiz, Ronald a.k.a. Rat, Lloyd Wyche and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended friends.
