Obituary for Kirk Constantino Lewis Sr.

Kirk Lewis Sr, age 65, passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, in his loving home in Virginia Beach, surrounded by his family. Our Lord and Saviour saw that Kirk was suffering and enduring insurmountable pain. He witnessed his tired face and decided to call him home.

On August 29, 1955, Kirk was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Roy Massey Sr. and Sylvia Massey. He is the second oldest of nine children. Kirk attended Norfolk Public School, and upon graduation, he entered the United States Air Force. After his military career, he obtained employment with the federal government, where he mastered several trades, which he utilized throughout his life.

Kirk met the love of his life Angela who was instrumental in him giving his life to Christ and joining New Bethel Church of God in Christ, where he was a member of the mass choir. They were joined in union on September 30, 2000, by Pastor A.D. Lillard of Bethel Church of God In Christ.

Kirk and Angela moved to Virginia Beach and attended several churches before joining the Herald Ministry under the leadership of Bishop Ronald A Sewell Sr. Kirk was a faithful member and served on the deacon board and a volunteer of the Herald House food ministry.

Kirk was a beloved husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, grandfather, and friend. His memory will forever live in the heart of those who loved and admired him. He was truly a blessing to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy Sr. and his brother Rodney L. Massey Sr.

Kirk leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife of 20 years, Angela Lewis, Six sons Kirk Jr. (Dana), Dwight (Mhikka), Travis, Josh, Joshua, and Malachi. three daughters, Toi, Crystal, and Keyonna (Anthony). He also leaves eight beloved siblings, Rhonda (James), Phyllis (Ovid Sr.), Roy Jr (Madre), Herold (Brenda), Karen (Dominic), Sherri, Adrienne (Tony) Carmichael(Linda).

Nine grandchildren, Chantel, Nydiia, Donovan, Layla, Destiny, Nevaeh, Zy’Asia, Jayson, and Anthony
He leaves a special aunt Joan Bennet and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
