Obituary for Tinnie May Hart (Chandler)

Tinnie May (Chandler) Hart, 77, of Johnstown, PA, entered into eternal rest May 8, 2022 in Sentara Leigh Hospital, Norfolk, VA. Tinnie was born to the late Uary Chandler and Annie Boykin, on April 17, 1945 in Brooksville, MS.

William (Boot) Hart and Tinnie were married on March 15, 1976, in Winchester, VA. William and Tiny shared a loving and eventful marriage lasting 33 years until his death on August 11, 2009.

Tinnie was a beautiful person. She enjoyed family, friends and her neighborhood community.

Tinnie was Domestic Engineer, but she was known to roll up her sleeves and go fishing from time to time.

Tinnie withstood so many challenges yet remained humble and true. Although health challenges affected those around her and herself, she was not able to move into her new home in York, Pennsylvania. Yet now she has now received her new residence in her heavenly home.

Tinnie was predeceased by her father, Uary Chandler, husband, William Hart, sister, Emma Chandler Black, son, Arthur Cox, Jr. and stepfather, Freddie Boykin, Sr.

Tinnie's memory will be cherished by her loving, daughters Vanda Kennedy of Virginia Beach, VA and Ella Cox of York, PA; grandchildren, Elise Rivera York, PA, Leon Moss III Chesapeake, VA, Eboni Cox of York, PA, Arthur Cox III and Maxine Ptomey, both of Pittsburgh, PA, Urian Rivera, Dejanae Myers and, Jasmine Cox all of Johnstown, PA; a gift of another brother and sister by marriage, Freddie Lee Boykin, Jr. (Lisa) of Houston, TX and Ruth Ann Boykin of Pittsburgh, PA; eight beautiful great-grandchildren and a host of amazing aunts, uncles, many cousins as well as extended relatives and a long list of very special lifelong friends.
