Obituary for Robin Robertson Anderson (Robertson)

Robin R. Anderson, 60, was born on March 23, 1962, to the Late Daniel Robertson Sr. and Eleanor L. Robertson in Norfolk, VA, and went on to her eternal rest on May 10, 2022. Robin graduated from Great Bridge High School (1981) and obtained her associates degree in General Studies with a minor in Social Work from TCC, a bachelor’s degree in Administration of Justice with a minor in Special Investigation from Bluefield College, and a master’s degree in Public Administration with a minor in Juvenile Delinquency from Troy State University.

Employed as a Deputy Sheriff for 6 years with the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, she became a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Norfolk, VA. Her love of helping others led to her career as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) and Addiction Counselor (MAC) for over 13 years with the Hampton VA Hospital, where she worked diligently to help rehabilitate War Veterans. A committed and dedicated giver and tither she loved going to church, visiting the sick and shut in, Zumba classes, and bike riding. Her other hobbies included: cooking and grilling for family and friends, watching Judge Judy, and lifetime movies.

She was an extravert, who was very generous and caring of others. Considering a comedian, she was funny and loved to keep people laughing. One of her greatest assets that she prided herself on was her ability to be the “example” to her two daughters and providing them with unconditional love.

Robin was predeceased by her husband, Charles R. Anderson. She leaves to cherish her Memories, Daughters Latoya Blowe (Trenton Blowe) and Latisha Pledger and Siblings: Diane Britt (Billy Bo Britt), Daniel Robertson Jr. (Elena Robertson), Linda Thompson, Brenda Harford (Richard Harford), and the Late Michael Robertson, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, church family and dear friends.
