Obituary for Rudolph Tucker

Bishop Rudolph Tucker of Norfolk, VA was called into eternal rest on July 2, 2022. He was born June 1, 1930, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina to the late Julius and Kathie Tucker. Bishop Tucker attended and graduated from Nash County Public Schools located in Nash County, North Carolina. Bishop Tucker went on to obtain training as an electrician from Norfolk State University, located in Norfolk, Virginia. Bishop Tucker married the love of his life, Prophetess Irene Tucker on October 31, 1949. After moving to Norfolk, Virginia in 1957, Bishop Tucker would work and retire from Biseces and Console, Inc. Bishop Tucker's true passion and purpose throughout life was expanding the kingdom of God, as he served as the Senior Founding Pastor of Tabernacle Voice of Deliverance Church located in Norfolk, Virginia for 47 years. Bishop Tucker truly loved the ministry and his many members, as he would call many names in prayer daily. Bishop Tucker was a true prophet in our midst!

Bishop Tucker affectionately known as "Pa-Pa" is predeceased by his wife, Prophetess Irene Tucker; survived by three sons, Ivan J. Tucker (predeceased), Rudolph L. Tucker (predeceased), Anthony Tucker (predeceased by Shirley Tucker), a daughter, Occoneechee Vazquez (Hector Vazquez), 8 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren. Bishop Tucker is also survived by one brother, Roosevelt Tucker (Bizelle Tucker) of Washington, DC; predeceased by 10 sisters and 1 brother. Bishop Tucker is also survived by a host of loving nieces, nephews, friends, and members of the Tabernacle Voice of Deliverance Church.
