Obituary for Marilyn Elaine Wright (Bacon)
Marilyn E. “Magic” Wright, 64 passed away due to medical complications on Friday, July 15, 2022, at Chesapeake General Hospital. Magic was born in Chelsea, MA on January 26, 1958, the daughter of the late Robert Bacon, Sr., and the late Elizabeth M. Bacon (Belle). She grew up in Boston, MA, Panama and eventually Ayer, MA. She was a 1975 graduate of Ayer Junior Senior High School where she played basketball and softball. Magic was a proficient athlete.
She was employed at Digital Equipment Corporation for 10 years where she worked until she and her husband Bennie H. Wright III moved to Virginia in the early 80’s.
She was predeceased by her brother Robert Bacon, Jr.
Magic is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Bennie H. Wright III, and leaves two sisters: Collette R. Price (Ray) of Hampton VA, Dianne E. Connor (Neal) of Ayer, MA; two brothers: Bernard A. Jackson (Barbara longtime companion) of Manchester, NH, and Melvin D. Jackson (Sharon) of New Castle, DE. And a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
She also leaves her sisters and brothers-in-law who held a special place in her heart: Rev. Melva Pat Morin, Linda D. Wright-Fuller (Charles), Carlotta Wright, Marsha A. Murdaugh, Michael D. Wright, Queida F. Davis (Raymond), and Carol R. Wright.
A memorial service will be held on July 30th at 11:00 am, at New Hope Community Church, 139 Sandy Pond Rd., Ayer, MA 01432.
