Harvey McCoy Bray, Jr., 49, transitioned on the early morning of Tuesday, September 13, 2022.
Harvey was born on August 7, 1973 in Norfolk, Virginia to Charlie and Harvey Bray, Sr. Harvey was the eldest of four siblings. His remaining siblings are Arvey Bray, Lethecia Bray and Darvey Bray. Harvey also leaves behind two beautiful children, Akeya’ Ne’Cole “Nikki” Harris (Eldest)-Estina Harris (Mother) and Harvey McCoy Hunter (Youngest)-Keandra Naughton (Mother), and three grandchildren: Charli London Marie Harris, Harvey McCoy Hunter, Jr. and Ameera Paulette Rose Hunter; Tamar Bray, his first Cousin, his lifelong best friend and brother, Kevin Lynn Sr.
Harvey enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music and simply enjoying life. His favorite football team was the Raiders. He loved music to include Jazz, particularly Nina Simone. He also had a love for Sade’s music. Harvey enjoyed reading books and concerning himself with politics and matters that affected the world. When he was passionate about a matter, he would most certainly let one know about it. Harvey was an excellent communicator, realist, and he offered emotional support to those that he loved.
