Obituary for Sharrion "Tina" Louise Bynum (Bynum)

Sharrion Louise Bynum is the first child of the late Michael Bynum and Edna Bynum of Norfolk, Virginia. She was born on September 3, 1957. Sharrion known as “Teenie, Tina, and GaGa, “went home to be with the LORD on Thursday, October 27th, 2022.

A native of Norfolk, she attended Granby High School in Norfolk, VA. She worked over 30 years as a Supervisor Nutrition/Dietary Aide in several hospitals (i.e., formerly DePaul, Lake Taylor, several Sentara’s Facilities) where she retired two years ago. Sharrion was not satisfied with her retirement life; therefore, she started working as a Cafeteria Monitor at Tidewater Park Elementary School. The school and the students raved about the love and kindness she exhibited, which is a testimony of her true and loving character.

Sharrion was a devoted mother and grandmother. She opened her home and heart to anyone in need. She was a compassionate and caring aunt, sister, niece, cousin, and friend. She genuinely loved and cared for everyone, a second mother too many.

Sharrion is survived by Wilbur Clark (life partner), three children: Daughter Dana C. Bynum of Hampton, VA, Donald R, Bynum of Muncie, Indiana and Galento Reid of Norfolk, VA. Her siblings: Michael Bynum, Blanche Akers, Linda Bynum, Robby Bynum, Rena Bynum, and Lanae Bynum residents of Norfolk, VA, Milton Bynum of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
