James McKinney was born June 10, 1957 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Dorothy McKinney and Aaron McKinney Sr. He attended Norfolk Public Schools and later joined the Army. James was loved by all that knew him.
Left to cherish the memory of James, he leaves behind his wife, Felicia McKinney. His children, Kalisha Evans and Kenton Ruffin. His grandchildren Toriantae, Torianna, Tri’Asia and three great grandchildren. Also left to cherish his memory his brothers, David Roberts, William McKinney and Melvin McKinney, a sister, Kathleen Henderson. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie and John Woodhouse, his siblings, Aubrey Yvonne and Audrey McKinney. Also left to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
