Obituary for Andrea Stacy Taylor-Evans (Taylor)

Andrea Stacy Evans was born on September 1, 1968 to the late, Hosea and Loretta Taylor in Jersey City, NJ. She was educated in the Newark Public School System and graduated from West Side High School in Newark, NJ. She attended William Patterson College. She ran track at Heat & Soul, under the leadership of Keith Davis. She also ran for the Colgate Track & Field in Madison Square Gardens. She won several awards and accolades for the competitions she competed in for track & field.

She grew up in Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Jersey City, NJ. She confessed hope in Christ, accepting Christ as her Lord and Saviour. Upon moving to Virginia Beach, VA, she joined Narroway Pentecostal Community Outreach Center under the leadership of Pastor Edwina Jackson where she was a member.

She relocated to Virginia Beach, VA in her adult life, where she met the love of her life, Mark Evans. God blessed her with two beautiful children, Olana Taite and Mark Hosea Evans.

She was employed by the United States Post Office.

Andrea is preceded in death her parents, Hoesa and Loretta Taylor and Father-in-Law, Melvin Evans, Sr. She leaves to cherish her memory to her loving husband, Mark Evans, Daughter, Olana Taite, Son, Mark H. Evans, Sisters, Cheryl (Bruce) Wooten, Sharon Taylor, Mother-in-Law, Gladys Evans, Brother-in-Law, Melvin (April) Evans, Jr, Nieces and Nephews, Ebonie (Terrance) Frederick, Terrance Frederick, Jr., Zaniah Frederick, Trinity Frederick, JaVion Riddick, Christian Evans, Gabriel Evans, Aunts, Uncles, a host of Cousins, Friends, the father of Olana, Marshall Taite and all of whom were touched by her love, kindness and graciousness.
