Obituary for Neoma Myrick Horton

As she can be torn by the news of hearing the loss of a friend or family member, “Neball” would have it known that her home going is one of relief and grief as she is survived by: one brother- Frederick Myrick; seven children: Frederick Horton, Cynthia Niederkorn, Ronald Horton, Phyllis Mahone, Ernest Horton, Alfreda Hall and Kim Horton. To add 16 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren and two Great-great Grandchildren.

Let it be known that she crossed over after an extensive battle of 4 plus decades of health complications to being finally overtaken by a pulmonary embolism (blood clot in the lung).

A sharecropper’s daughter who enjoyed the outdoors coming from a farmer’s climate and gardener to interrelations. Neoma was and always will be known as a people’s person who offered her heart to strangers and family alike without reserves. Now in keeping with the Psalmist writing of the 23rd chapter; “he make me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.”
“Grab My Hand!”
…and reaching out in her last moments she successfully connected with her guide and went forward on her new walk with the Almighty Shepherd our Lord and Savior.

“Come Home My Daughter…”

Returning From Whence Thou Came: Gen. 3:19
In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.
