Vincie Lee Fauntleroy Combo 79, of Norfolk, Virginia went with the Lord on Friday, June 26, 2026. A resident of Ahoskie, North Carolina for many years she was the daughter of the late Charlie Williams and Willie Beth Mitchell Scarbor.

Married to her first husband, the late Lloyd Fauntleroy they had five children. Years later she had two other children and married the late James Combo and were inseparable until death. Vincie lee was a faithful member of the Assembly of the Saints Ministries in Norfolk, Virginia and served faithfully as the Mother of the church with consistency and steadfastness until she became ill. She loved God with a a true servant’s heart who used her singing abilities to build up the body of Christ through Sunday morning worship. Vincie lee was going to sing her songs and you were going to sing with her no matter what.

When she laughed, her smile was a sudden flash of sunshine that instantly melted away any tension in the room, making everyone around feel warm and welcomed. It was a beautiful, tender expression that revealed a quiet affection and deep warmth within her. She had a lot of beautiful teeth and a smile that went with it that will truly be missed. She was a generous spirit and very humbled. Dedicated and committed momma. Loved forever. Gone but never forgotten.

Vincie lee is preceded in death by her sons Ali Jabar Fauntleroy and Artabus Fauntleroy. She is survived by her children Marcellus Fauntleroy Mitchell (Leatrice), Alley Rome Fauntleroy (Yukeeta), Joseph Fauntleroy (Kim), her only daughter Shirley Fauntleroy Hoskins (Willie), Issiah Fauntleroy (Bobby-Jean), and a sister Jacqueline Shirley Mae Williams of Raleigh, North Carolina. Also, leaves to cherish her memory a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and extended family members.
