Katharine M Johnson, age of 79, of Norfolk VA, she departed this life on Thursday, July 2, 2026, when God dispersed his angels to her home to take his daughter to enter her eternal resting place.

Katharine was born on June 26, 1947, In Norfolk VA, she was the daughter of the late James Henry Johnson and Louvinia Johnson.

Katharine graduated from Norfolk State University with the Degree of associate in arts, May ,1983 she was also a seamstress. She worked at Kmart and Walmart in customer service for years until she retired.

Katharine was very family oriented and Loved God know matter what was going on her last word was Pray.

Katharine attended Total Life Church in Chesapeake Va she was so proud to be a member of Total Life she would say if you wanted to hear the word about Jesus Christ visit her church she will tell you I been with pastor when he started their church.

She is survived by her son Joseph W Johnson (Denise Johnson) who she cherished dearly, sister Carolyn Johnson two Brothers Benjamin Johnson, Larry Johnson she was preceded in death by her daughter Karen D Johnson, Father James Henry Johnson, Mother Louvinia Johnson, Sister Margaret Jones, Brothers David and William Johnson. She has 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
