Barbara Stafford
Pastor Janeen and Bishop,
There is no real words that I can convey to make your hearts from breaking. I lost my mom in 2013 from stomach cancer, and I still look back and reflect at times, and, "mom, I wish you could have stayed a little longer." Maybe, we are being selfish for wanting them with us longer when we know what lies ahead is far greater than what lies here on earth. So easily, we speak of what we see and live through than what God has promised us in HIs Word. So I say to you both, let faith be your rock, the Word be your comfort, and God, your lighthouse to help reinsure that all will have to pass this way one day but let us not grow faint and help remind us that there is a life that is a far greater and glorious in his kingdom. I remember, Pa Lester, who gave me his ticket so I could go to see Bishop at Jewish Temple. Not one time, he questioned me, but gave it to me out of love. When I said, how you are going to go, and he said, "don't worry, I will get in, I am Pastor Janeen's father, they got to let me in, smile. He always will acknowledged me whenever he sees me in church, and smile with a joyful smile. So I want to let you know, his days here were fruitful indeed and he is strolling in love and God's glory. He was truly God's true manservant, grandfather, father, and friend. I just want to stop by to send you my love and prayer. I pray that God will comfort your family and you from this day forward. Remember, you have a lot of people who you can depend on and are lifting you up in their prayers and love for your family. So lift your head up, and let not your heart grow heavy for we know that to be absence of the body is to be presence with the Lord, indeed.
Love,
Barbara Diann
