Celebrate the life, cherish the memories. Patricia Ann Clanton passed away at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital on Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at the age of 56.
Patricia is predeceased by her Mother, Charlene M. Cox, Father, Herbert Clanton and Step Father, Paul W. Cox, Jr.
Patricia is lovingly remembered by her Son, Carlos J. Clanton of Norfolk; Daughter, Latoya M. Clanton of Norfolk; Son, Jermaine E. Clanton of Norfolk. She is cherished by her grandchildren, Key’shaun Clanton, Kori Clanton and Lon’Dyn M. Dunston of Norfolk. Sisters, Helen M. Clanton of Norfolk, Renee Cox of Norfolk, Anne Cox of Detroit, MI. Brothers, H. Michael Clanton of Norfolk, Paul Wesley Cox, II and Robert Cox of Detroit. A host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, extended brothers, sisters, and friends.
Patricia Clanton was born in Norfolk, Virginia on December 21, 1960. She graduated from Maury High School in 1979 and went on to earn a Certificate in Physical Therapy. She worked at Old Dominion University, Sentara Therapy Center, and with Bank of America (formerly Nations Bank).
Patricia enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and friends, cooking and baking, a good game of spades, horseshoes and an occasional Saturday morning yard sale.
The visitation will be held at Graves Funeral Home, 1631 Church Street Norfolk, VA 23504, on Thursday, June 15, 2017, from 1 p.m. – 6 p.m. followed by a Wake Service from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
The Homegoing Celebration service will be held at Gethsemane Community Fellowship, 1312 E. Brambleton Avenue, Norfolk, VA 23504 on June 16, 2017, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Kirk T. Houston, Sr. officiating. Interment to follow at Roosevelt Memorial Park, 1101 Campostella Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23320 at 1 p.m.
