Anthony “Domonique” Lennon made his debut February 9th, 1993. Born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. Domonique attended Virginia Beach Public Schools from preschool through his sophomore year in high school. Domonique completed his high school career in 2011 as a proud Saint at Nansemond Suffolk Academy in Suffolk, VA. Domonique went on to accept a full football scholarship to East Carolina University in Greenville, NC where he excelled as a Pirate until he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in 2015.
Domonique grew up in Mount Bethel Baptist Church where he had been a member since 1995 and got baptized at the age of 13. He lived by his favorite scripture Philippians 4:3,”I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
To know Domonique was to love Domonique. His humor, outgoing personality, and charismatic smile quickly won you over. Domonique truly had an impact on every single person he met. Anyone that knew him knew he had a passion for football and a love for all animals especially his two dogs Nila and Hercules. Domonique was most proud of his amazing son, Landon, or as he would say “his reason why”. His fondest days over the last two years were the times he spent with Landon.
Domonique is survived by his mom and dad Tonya Jones (McCoy) and George McCoy; sisters Alexis, Giana, and Leah; son Landon and devoted partner and mother of his child Enfinity. His biological father; Gregory Lennon and his three children Domonique’s sister Chanteau and two brothers Gregory and Malakye; Aunts: Sonya Jones, Erin Jones, Shaneysha Jones and Trenace McCoy; his uncles: Skeet Jones, Corey Jones; his grandparents Bernice Peterson, Melvin Jones, Fannie McCoy and the late George McCoy Sr. Lastly, 13 first cousins, 2 god-children Kylen and Alex Harris and many near and dear friends. Heaven has definitely gained an angel, but earth has lost a superstar.
